Provide direct support to residents in daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Work closely with medical staff to administer care and advocate for residents and their families.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and record residents’ vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
- Help residents with mobility, including transfers and repositioning
- Provide assistance with toileting and incontinence care
- Respond to resident call lights and assist with other needs in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
- Report any changes in a resident’s condition to the supervising nurse
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
- Work closely with clinical staff to ensure residents' individualized care plans are implemented effectively, meeting both physical and emotional needs
Requirements
- Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- CNA certification in good standing with the State Board of Nursing
- Ability to provide compassionate, person-centered care
- Good collaboration and teamwork skills
- Fast and adaptive problem-solving abilities
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
