This role is responsible for accurately recording and documenting the details of newborn births within a specific jurisdiction, ensuring information is properly accessible for legal and administrative purposes.
Responsibilities
- Collect and verify all necessary information related to a newborn's birth, including names of parents, date and time of birth, and location of birth
- Ensure that all information provided is accurate and complete
- Enter birth details into the registration system or database, ensuring proper recording and organization
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all registered births
- Adhere to legal guidelines and regulations pertaining to birth registration
- Verify the authenticity of documents submitted for birth registration
- Cross-check information provided with other relevant records for accuracy and consistency
- Provide assistance and guidance to individuals seeking to register a birth or obtain a birth certificate
- Maintain strict confidentiality of birth records and personal information
- Collaborate with other government agencies, healthcare providers, and relevant stakeholders
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Healthcare Management or related field
- 1-2 years of Administrative Assistant experience
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree Healthcare Management or Associate's Degree Related Field of Study
- 1-2 years of Administrative Assistant experience required; 1-2 years of Medical Office/Hospital/Managed Care experience preferred
