Preventative Maintenance Technician (HVAC)

About This Role

Perform routine maintenance on commercial and residential HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation, compliance with manufacturer guidelines, and prevention of unexpected breakdowns.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment including air handlers, RTUs, chillers, boilers, VAV systems, and split systems
• Inspect and replace filters, belts, and other consumables as required
• Clean cooling towers
• Lubricate motors, bearings, and other moving parts
• Check system performance and functionality; report abnormalities or repair needs
• Clean condenser and evaporator coils, drain lines, and pans
• Monitor refrigerant levels and pressures, report anomalies
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and materials used
• Perform all work in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, regulations and standards of safety and quality
• Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• HVAC certification (e.g., EPA 608 universal)
• Two years of experience in HVAC maintenance or related field
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, tools, and safety protocols
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in HVAC maintenance or related field
