The Practice Manager oversees and improves provider practices and supporting departments, focusing on daily performance, issue resolution, and organizational improvements through metrics and best practices. This role ensures efficient time and resource management, maintains staff morale, and upholds productivity, quality, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient flow, including reception, provider schedule utilization, co-payment collection, back office, and ancillary services
- Enable efficient and effective use of physician time
- Maintain accurate demographic and insurance information, ensure clean claims, exhaustive charge collection, billing, and payment processes
- Recruit, hire, orient, discipline, and evaluate staff, serving as a role model and mentor
- Develop and monitor budgets, manage supply ordering, coordinate practice moves/renovations, and handle patient/staff complaints
Requirements
- Management experience
- Healthcare or insurance benefits knowledge
- Intermediate computer skills
- Ability to travel between Albany and Philomath
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role (preferred)
