About This Role

This role will lead the strategic vision for Sanofi's Gaucher & Fabry rare disease products, driving enterprise-wide brand strategy with a customer-centric approach. This involves defining product positioning and strategic roadmaps to improve patient outcomes. The leader will also provide strategic direction for go-to-market models and lead an Associate Director of Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and drive the long-term strategic vision for Gaucher & Fabry brands, establishing enterprise-wide priorities
  • Lead comprehensive brand planning, budgeting, KPI development and tracking, forecasting, and financial stewardship across multiple brands
  • Serve as the primary strategic partner and liaison with global GBL, country teams, PSS, patient marketing, Account Engagement marketing, and health system marketing teams
  • Develop and synthesize sophisticated insights on disease areas, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes using comprehensive US and global data sources
  • Orchestrate insights gathering across marketing channels, customer segments, and digital platforms to develop deep customer understanding
  • Continuously monitor and analyze the competitive environment, pipeline activities, and market trends
  • Create comprehensive, end-to-end patient journey strategies, including innovative approaches to patient identification, diagnosis acceleration, and treatment optimization
  • Develop and execute sophisticated commercial brand strategies informed by market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive analysis
  • Lead cross-functional governance forums and strategic planning sessions to ensure enterprise-wide alignment
  • Manage substantial brand marketing budgets with strategic oversight and provide senior-level input on annual planning processes
  • Lead launch readiness initiatives with strategic oversight, including competitive assessment, target product profile (TPP) development, market access strategy, and comprehensive pre-launch planning
  • Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to an Associate Director of Marketing, fostering professional growth and leadership development

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive marketing, sales, or insights & analytics experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
  • Demonstrated success in senior leadership roles driving strategic initiatives
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Exceptional strategic decision-making capabilities with a history of innovation, complex problem-solving
  • Extensive experience working within large-scale, complex multidisciplinary organizations with proven ability to influence and drive alignment across senior stakeholders
  • Deep expertise in product and launch strategy development and execution

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, technology, or life sciences, MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
  • 12+ years of progressive marketing, sales, or insights & analytics experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with demonstrated success in senior leadership roles driving strategic initiatives
