Porter

About This Role

As a Porter, you will be responsible for the daily upkeep and appearance of communities by ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of common areas. You will maintain a safe, well-maintained, and inviting environment for all residents and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Complete requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure their needs are met
• Clean and maintain all common areas, including front lobby, hallways, restrooms, elevators, stairways, and parking areas
• Maintain floors, vacuum carpets and rugs, wash and wax hard surfaces, and clean tile grout
• Wash walls, doors, and windows in shared areas
• Replace light bulbs in common area lighting fixtures as needed
• Ensure all trash receptacles are emptied and waste is transported to the designated disposal area
• Monitor and restock sanitary and cleaning supplies to maintain proper inventory levels
• Assist with light maintenance duties such as replacing air filters, minor touch-ups, and basic repairs
• Support seasonal upkeep tasks, including snow removal and grounds maintenance
• Assist in inventory control of janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the community with a positive and courteous attitude

Requirements

• 1-2 years of janitorial, cleaning, or porter experience in residential or commercial settings
• Comfortable working with and around cleaning agents and equipment
• Ability to complete daily assignments with minimal supervision
• Strong time management skills and attention to detail
• Reliable transportation required
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of janitorial, cleaning, or porter experience in residential or commercial settings

Nice to Have

• Basic knowledge of light maintenance tasks
• Snow removal and landscaping experience
• Bilingual in Spanish
