About This Role

The Porter is responsible for the meticulous upkeep of the property's grounds, amenities, and common areas. This role ensures high customer satisfaction by maintaining cleanliness and curb appeal, supporting marketing efforts, and assisting with property emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Remove trash and other debris from office areas and property perimeter daily
• Assist in the preparation of market ready units
• Pressure wash exterior buildings, sidewalks, and other surfaces
• Assist with property emergencies, including snow removal, inclement weather, fires, and floods
• Clean available apartments, model homes, and common areas
• Address property maintenance concerns related to inclement weather conditions
• Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and curb appeal
• Interact courteously and professionally with current and potential residents
• Clearly and immediately report any maintenance and life safety issues identified during duties

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write and understand English
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Professional appearance and compliance with uniform policy
• Clean driving record and current auto insurance
• Compliance with all safety requirements
• Completion of Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Ability to use general office equipment
• Ability to shovel snow, apply ice melt and operate a commercial snow blower
• Passion for meticulous curb appeal
