About This Role

This role involves working one-on-one with children on the autism spectrum using a play-based approach to teach new skills and support growth. The specialist will implement therapy plans designed by Masters-level clinicians and encourage social, communication, and learning skills through engaging activities.

Responsibilities

  • Work one-on-one with children aged 2–6 in clinic settings
  • Use play to teach new skills and support growth
  • Implement therapy plans using play-based ABA principles
  • Encourage social, communication, and learning skills through engaging activities and routines
  • Support and partner with families by sharing updates and celebrating progress
  • Participate in ongoing training and supervision to grow skills and maintain RBT certification

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to achieve and maintain RBT certification within first 6 weeks of employment (Soar provides paid training)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to sit/kneel on the floor, lift up to 50 lbs., and move quickly
  • Comfort using computers and tablets for session notes

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • Prior experience with kids in any setting (teaching, child care, coaching, etc.) is a plus

Nice to Have

  • Enrollment in or completion of a degree program (Child Development, Psychology, or related fields)
  • Prior experience with kids (teaching, child care, coaching, etc.)
