About This Role

As a Plasma Center Technician, you will screen new and repeat donors, perform phlebotomy to collect high-quality plasma, and ensure donor safety while supporting plasma center operations.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones, greet, and focus on donors, ensuring safety of donors and team
  • Screen new and repeat donors
  • Take and record donor vital signs and finger stick results
  • Use Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation
  • Help identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes
  • Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
  • Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
  • Ability to lift up to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
  • Current license or certification in the state where duties will be assigned: Certified Phlebotomy Technician 1 (CPT1), Certified Phlebotomy Technician 2 (CPT2), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient facing role is helpful
