Physician - Interventional Pain

About This Role

Join a leading health organization as an Interventional Pain Physician, providing comprehensive pain management care and contributing to academic programs, including teaching and research.

Responsibilities

• Examine the health of a patient to help make proper diagnosis of clinical conditions and prescribing medication, treatments, and follow-up care as required
• Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions
• Provide care directly and indirectly by working with other members of an interdisciplinary team to formulate treatment plans
• Timely record patient encounters in Electronic Health Record
• Request further medical evaluations and make referrals, as necessary
• Commit to the highest standards of professionalism and collaboration with all department members to provide quality patient care
• Ensure accurate coding of all patient visits
• Comply with policies, procedures, bylaws, processes of privileging/credentialing, and standards of care

Requirements

• BC/BE Anesthesiologist or PM&R Physician
• Fellowship trained in Interventional Pain Management
• Licensed practicing MD/DO
• Willingness to commit to teaching and/or research

Qualifications

• Board certified or eligible for certification in physician’s primary specialty (Anesthesiology or PM&R) and fellowship trained in Interventional Pain Management

• Strong interest in chronic pain management
• Comfortable developing relationships in an expanding referral network
• Committed to using comprehensive electronic medical records
