About This Role

Provide routine and emergency medical care for inmates at a facility in Greeley, CO, adhering to established medical policies and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and emergency medical care for inmates, including chronic care clinics, infirmary rounds, and emergency treatment on-site
• Adhere to established policies and procedures for medical care, including documentation in SOAP format, adherence to formulary regimens, and utilizing available in-house resources for treatment
• Assume responsibility and accountability for individual judgments and actions
• Report any concerns or questions to the Medical Director or Health Services Administrator
• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with accepted practices for incarcerated individuals
• Provide input into facility mandatory committees as requested

Requirements

• Must have and maintain current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner within the state of employment
• Must have and maintain current CPR certification

Qualifications

• A graduate of an accredited school of nursing and an advanced degree in an approved and accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Prior medical/surgical and/or emergency/trauma experience and corrections experience is preferred.
