Physical Therapist Inpatient Unit

About This Role

Evaluate, establish, and provide treatment to physical therapy patients across all age groups in both outpatient and acute settings. This role involves developing treatment plans, maintaining documentation, and positively collaborating with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat physical therapy patients under physician orders in the outpatient and acute settings
• Develop treatment plans for all patients assigned to case load
• Maintain appropriate documentation in the patient’s medical record
• Commit to reducing costs and improving productivity in the physical therapy department
• Maintain positive relationships with the health care team, patient and family
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with all appropriate members of the patient’s healthcare team

Requirements

• Graduate of a Physical Therapist education program approved by CAPTE
• Passed an examination for Physical Therapists approved by the state in which physical therapy services are provided
• Iowa Physical Therapy License or eligibility
• Valid Driver's License

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Physical Therapist education program approved by The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) or equivalent
• Entry level/new graduate acceptable
