Physical Therapist Assistant

About This Role

Administer physical therapy care programs, monitor patient progress, and maintain medical records for patients under the guidance of a Physical Therapist and other medical personnel.

Responsibilities

• Administer direct patient care in accordance with physician prescriptions
• Submit required documentation as per department policies
• Maintain progress notes and discharge summaries for assigned patients
• Respond to emergency procedures for patient safety and care
• Participate in quality improvement chart reviews
• Attend family meetings/conferences pertaining to patient welfare

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
• Current License to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in New York State
• 3-3.1 years of relevant experience
