About This Role

Implement and execute patient treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, communicating with patients, families, and team members to help residents regain strength and mobility. Provide timely documentation and support department operations while enhancing clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and execute on established patient treatment plan under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Communicate with patients, families, referring physicians, and other members of the team
• Provide timely written documentation per facility and department requirements
• Develop and enhance clinical and professional skills through knowledge and professional associations
• Provide timely written documentation as required by insurance provider to meet licensing, certification, regulatory, reimbursement requirements
• Support and participate in department operations and development
• Report any changes in patient status or needs to supervising therapist on a timely basis

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant curriculum
• Able to practice unencumbered
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
• Working knowledge of Medicare and other payer sources
• Full knowledge of resident’s rights
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English
• CPR/BLS certification
