Responsibilities

• Label, process, and deliver specimens for testing
• Collect blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques
• Maintain equipment and medical supplies
• Assist with coordinating and conducting blood drives, including interviewing and screening donors

• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
• Critical thinking skills
• Decisive judgment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Nice to Have

• Approved nationally accredited training course in phlebotomy
• Certification from ASCP or NHA
• Formal phlebotomy training
