About This Role

Serve as an aide for the laboratory, maintaining cleanliness of equipment and collecting blood from patients following established safety standards. This role ensures the proper functioning of laboratory operations and patient comfort during blood collection.

Responsibilities

• Clean laboratory equipment, glassware, instruments, and sinks
• Collect blood from patients following established standards and practices
• Assume responsibility for the safety and comfort of patients during blood collection
• Handle laboratory glassware carefully to avoid breakage
• Communicate with patients and the public with a pleasant and professional attitude

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current Driver's license
• Knowledgeable of phlebotomy technique and proper use of equipment
• Ability to work with a variety of patients of all populations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Previous experience is not essential, but preference for previous healthcare experience like a nurse assistant. Requires approximately 2 months training in a clinical lab.
