As a Phlebotomist, you will perform expert blood collection and specimen processing for patient diagnoses and treatment, ensuring high-level patient care and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Expertly obtain and process blood specimens via capillary or venipuncture
- Ensure integrity, proper disposal, and timely distribution of specimens to testing areas
- Perform clerical duties and prioritize patient comfort during blood work
- Practice positive patient identification at all times
- Adhere to lab collection turnaround times and follow blood collection procedures
- Perform Blood Bank collections following written procedures and banding
- Maintain order and cleanliness of phlebotomy trays, stations, and storage rooms
- Practice HumanKindness and courtesy with all patient and co-worker interactions
- Establish and maintain good communication within the department and with other hospital departments
- Comply with isolation and hand sanitization procedures

Qualifications
- High School Graduate General Studies or High School GED General Studies
Nice to Have
- 3 months phlebotomy experience in an acute care facility
