Perform duties related to the accurate and timely filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to nursing units and other departments. This role involves triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner
- Fill/dispense oral and IV medications
- Triage patient orders
- Maintain the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS)
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician upon hire OR Oregon Pharmacy Technician License upon hire
- Minimum of one year (> 2080 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and current PTCB certification OR 2 years (>4160 hours) hospital pharmacy if not PTCB certified
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year (2080 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system, or 2 years (4160 hours) hospital pharmacy if not PTCB certified
Nice to Have
- Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program
- Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) where applicable for role
- Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR)
