Pharmacy Technician

About This Role

The Pharmacy Technician provides exceptional customer service, assists in all pharmacy responsibilities not requiring a pharmacist's professional judgment, and helps patients live healthier lives. This role involves direct patient intervention, health and wellness services, and adherence to state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations and report illegal activity
• Comply with all food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations
• Perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers
• Maintain departmental standards by keeping work stations and customer waiting areas clean and organized
• Count, measure, and prepare specified product using company best practices
• Complete billing procedures adequately to assure best value to the customer and the company
• Answer phone and triage calls and answer inquiries as appropriate
• Adhere to guidelines on accepting and tendering vendor coupons, limits on cash shortages, and company shrink guidelines
• Follow company guidelines on the operation of the cash register and all cashier handling policies
• Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years old
• Ability to handle highly confidential information
• Meets minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED

• Any previous comparable experience
• Any equivalent experience of a pharmacy clerk
• EPRN familiarity
