About This Role

This Pharmacy Technician I role at Levine Cancer Institute involves dispensing and delivering medications, preparing non-sterile products, and managing medication orders and customer inquiries. The incumbent will ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and department requirements of pharmacy practice.

Responsibilities

  • Develop competence in dispensing and delivery of medications, including using information systems, technology, and automation.
  • Develop competence in preparing non-sterile products following USP, state, and federal recommendations.
  • Develop competence in entering medication orders in the computer system and/or processing medication requests.
  • Develop competence in managing phone calls from customers and team members, resolving issues or hand-offs efficiently.
  • Develop competence in pharmacy procedures and documentation, satisfying legal, regulatory, and department requirements.
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards, including controlled substance procedures, USP procedures, and DNV requirements.

  • No experience required
