Pharmacy Technician

About This Role

Support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence, ensuring prompt, safe, and accurate prescription fulfillment, and providing exceptional patient care. This role involves direct patient interaction and adherence to standard operating procedures to simplify healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment at all workstations
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
• Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law and directed by leadership
• Contribute to a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset, and actively seeking opportunities to expand knowledge
• Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including voluntarily traveling to other stores
• Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ethical principles
• Deliver additional patient health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing where allowable
• Complete additional licensure and training for Technician Immunizer status to prepare and administer vaccines
• Educate patients about the importance of vaccines and refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty

Requirements

• Comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing practice
• Must be at least 16 years of age if no state minimum
• High school diploma or equivalent, or active high school enrollment if no state education minimum

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program

Nice to Have

• 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Ability to work in home store and across the market in other locations
