Support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence, ensuring prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and providing caring service to patients.
Responsibilities
- Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, creating heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients
- Keep patients healthy by offering immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone
- Complete basic inventory activities, as permitted by law, and as directed by the pharmacy leadership team
- Contribute to a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset, and being receptive to feedback
- Remain flexible for both scheduling and business needs, and voluntarily travel to stores in the market to work shifts as needed
- Support immunizations, including preparing and administering vaccines, educating patients, monitoring for adverse reactions, and managing vaccine supplies (where permissible)
Requirements
- Comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing pharmacy practice (age, education, licensure/certification)
- At least 16 years of age (if no state board minimum age)
- High school diploma or equivalent, or actively enrolled in a high school or equivalency program (if no state board educational requirement)
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Attention and Focus: ability to concentrate, pivot quickly between tasks, and confirm prescription information accuracy
- Customer Service and Team Orientation: ability to help people in a friendly manner, understand patient reactions
- Communication Skills: use and understand verbal/written communication, active listening
- Mathematical Reasoning: ability to use math for prescription calculations
- Problem Resolution: identify challenging interactions and choose best course of action
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, or actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
- Entry level position, previous experience 1-3 years preferred but not required
Nice to Have
- 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to work in home store and cross-market locations
