About This Role

This Pharmacy Technician role supports the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence, serving as a primary contact for patients and customers. The technician ensures smooth pharmacy operations, accurate prescription fulfillment, and provides exceptional, caring service.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at each workstation to help Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
  • Adhere to pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, creating personalized moments while serving patients
  • Complete basic inventory activities, as permitted by law, and as directed by the pharmacy leadership team
  • Contribute to a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset, and being receptive to feedback
  • Remain flexible for both scheduling and business needs, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic
  • Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles
  • Deliver additional patient healthcare services (e.g., immunizations, point-of-care testing, offsite clinics) where allowable by law and supported by training/certification

Requirements

  • Comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
  • Be at least 16 years of age if no state minimum age requirement
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or active enrollment in high school/equivalency program if no state educational requirement
  • Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
  • Attention and focus to pivot quickly and confirm prescription accuracy
  • Strong customer service and team orientation
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Mathematical reasoning for prescription calculations
  • Problem-solving skills for challenging patient or colleague interactions
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program

Nice to Have

  • 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
  • Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations
