Pharmacy Technician

About This Role

Support pharmacy operations and deliver excellent customer service by assisting patients with prescription fulfillment and healthcare services. Ensure smooth workflow, patient safety, and compliance with all regulations.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at each workstation to help Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
• Adhere to pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone
• Offer immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone to keep patients healthy
• Solve or escalate patient problems with compassionate care
• Complete basic inventory activities, such as accurately putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts
• Contribute to a high-performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and be receptive to feedback
• Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic
• Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles
• Deliver additional patient healthcare services (e.g., immunizations, point-of-care testing, offsite clinics), where allowable by law and supported by required training and certification

Requirements

• Comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education, and licensure/certification
• If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program if state board of pharmacy does not mandate a minimum educational requirement
• 0 years. 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred, or previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting preferred.
