Pharmacy Technician

About This Role

Support the pharmacy team in a retail setting, delivering operational and service excellence to patients and customers. Ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at each workstation to help pharmacists manage and improve patient health
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone
• Complete basic inventory activities, such as putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts
• Contribute to a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset and being receptive to feedback
• Remain flexible for both scheduling and business needs, contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic
• Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles
• Deliver additional patient health care services where allowable by law and supported by training and certification (e.g., immunizations, point-of-care testing)

Requirements

• Comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy (age, education, licensure/certification)
• If no state minimum age, must be at least 16 years of age
• If no state minimum education, must have high school diploma/equivalent or be enrolled in high school/equivalency program

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program

Nice to Have

• 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Ability to work in home store and across the market in other locations
