Pharmacy Technician

About This Role

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will support the pharmacy team in Martins Ferry, OH in delivering operational and service excellence, assisting patients with prescriptions promptly and accurately. Technicians ensure smooth pharmacy operations and contribute to a safe, inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care while assisting at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone
• Complete basic inventory activities, as permitted by law, and as directed by the pharmacy leadership team
• Actively seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge needed to better assist patients
• Remain flexible for both scheduling and business needs, and voluntarily travel to other stores in the market to work shifts as needed
• Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles
• Deliver additional patient health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing where allowable by law and supported by training

Requirements

• Compliance with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws, including age, education, and licensure/certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
• Entry level with 0 years of experience (1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred)

Nice to Have

• 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
