Pharmacy Technician

About This Role

This Pharmacy Technician role supports the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within a retail location. You will be the first point of contact for patients, assisting with prescription fulfillment and ensuring smooth pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities

• Support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence
• Assist patients and customers as a first point of contact to deliver an exceptional experience
• Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly, and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
• Follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at each workstation for patient health
• Adhere to pharmacy workflow procedures at production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off stations
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
• Complete basic inventory activities like putting away medication deliveries and cycle counts
• Contribute to a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset and being receptive to feedback
• Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ethical principles
• Deliver additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point-of-care testing) where allowable

Requirements

• Compliance with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws
• At least 16 years of age if no state board minimum age
• High school diploma or equivalent, or active enrollment in high school/equivalency program if no state board education minimum

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program

Nice to Have

• 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations
