This Pharmacy Technician role supports the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence, assisting patients with prompt, safe, and accurate prescription fulfillment. You will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a caring and exceptional experience.
Responsibilities
- Support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within the store
- Assist patients and customers as the first point of contact to deliver an exceptional experience
- Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly, and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
- Follow all company SOPs at each workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and providing personalized moments
- Complete basic inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries and cycle counts
- Contribute to a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset and being receptive to feedback
- Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ethical principles
- Deliver additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point-of-care testing) where allowable by law and with required training
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including voluntary travel to other stores as needed
Requirements
- Comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education, and licensure/certification
- At least 16 years of age (if state board does not mandate minimum age)
- High school diploma or equivalent, or actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program (if state board does not mandate minimum education)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, or actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
Nice to Have
- 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to work in the home store and across market locations
