Support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence, assisting patients and customers, and ensuring accurate prescription fulfillment. This role focuses on enhancing the patient experience and contributing to safe pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities
- Support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within the store
- Assist patients and customers as the first point of contact to deliver an exceptional experience
- Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly, and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
- Follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at each workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, and solving or escalating patient problems
- Complete basic inventory activities as directed by the pharmacy leadership team
- Contribute to a high-performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and be receptive to feedback
- Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles
- Deliver additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, where allowable by law and with required training
- Complete additional licensure and training to obtain Technician Immunizer status where permissible
Requirements
- Compliance with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
- If no state minimum age, must be at least 16 years of age
- If no state educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Attention and focus to concentrate on tasks and pivot quickly
- Customer service and team orientation
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Mathematical reasoning abilities
- Problem resolution skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, or actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
Nice to Have
- 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations
