Pharmacy Technician

About This Role

This role supports the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence, assisting patients with prescriptions and providing caring service. Technicians play a critical role in ensuring smooth pharmacy operations and accurate prescription fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company SOPs at each workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, creating personalized moments, and offering immunizations
• Complete basic inventory activities, such as putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts
• Contribute to a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset, and seeking opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge
• Remain flexible for both scheduling and business needs, including voluntarily traveling to other stores as needed
• Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ethical principles to ensure patient safety and privacy
• Deliver additional patient healthcare services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, where allowable by law and supported by training

Requirements

• Comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
• If no state minimum age, must be at least 16 years of age
• If no state educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent or be actively enrolled

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program

Nice to Have

• 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Ability to work across the market in other locations
