Pharmacy Technician

About This Role

Support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence, ensuring safe and accurate prescription fulfillment and providing caring service to patients.

Responsibilities

• Support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within assigned store
• Assist patients and customers as the first point of contact to deliver an exceptional experience
• Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly, prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
• Consistently apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices
• Contribute to safe and effective operations of the pharmacy by following all company SOPs
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
• Complete basic inventory activities, as permitted by law, and as directed by the pharmacy leadership team
• Contribute to a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset, and being receptive to feedback
• Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles

Requirements

• Compliance with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education, and licensure/certification
• At least 16 years of age if no state board minimum
• High school diploma or equivalent, or active enrollment in high school or equivalency program if no state board education minimum

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
• Entry level

Nice to Have

• 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
