Support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence, assisting patients and customers, and ensuring safe, accurate, and prompt prescription fulfillment. This role focuses on consistent application of standard operating procedures and effective communication.
Responsibilities
- Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
- Adhere to pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, creating heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients
- Complete basic inventory activities, as permitted by law, and as directed by the pharmacy leadership team, such as putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts
- Contribute to a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset, and actively seeking opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge
- Administer vaccines and educate patients about the importance of vaccines, if additional licensure and training requirements are met
- Monitor and respond to adverse reactions while administering vaccines, and report events per public health requirements
- Review and collect patient information, then track and document for each applicable patient
Requirements
- Compliance with all state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
- If no state minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
- If no state minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
- Complete required training within designated timeframe
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, or actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
Nice to Have
- 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs
