This role involves performing complex pharmaceutical processes, serving as an expert with equipment and technology in specialized areas, and identifying quality improvement opportunities to ensure safe, effective, and efficient services and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform services and functions within assigned area(s) where complex pharmaceutical processes require advanced skills and knowledge
• Serve as an expert with equipment and technology in specialized area
• Identify quality improvement opportunities based on specialized skill set
• Comply with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards
• Serve as a resource in the specialized area for other pharmacy team members, physicians, nurses, and ancillary departments
• Collaborate with department leaders to develop and coordinate team member education, training, orientation, and competency
• Serve as the department liaison to system pharmacy teams in specialty area

Requirements

• Good mathematics skills
• Attention to details
• Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer service, problem resolution and process development skills
• Basic computer skills

Qualifications

• High School Graduate.
• 5 years of experience in hospital or retail pharmacy technician role, depending on specialty area.
