Direct and oversee Specialty & Community pharmacy departments to deliver quality, cost-effective, and patient-focused care. Lead service growth, manage financial performance, and ensure compliance with regulations for Michigan Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct complex operations including strategic planning, new program implementation, and business management.
- Lead strategic initiatives to improve patient capture, safety, quality, and optimize inventory and drug spend.
- Develop and execute innovative approaches to operational issues and expansion initiatives.
- Lead a dedicated team of subordinate leaders, providing oversight for referral processing, dispensing, distribution, and quality assurance.
- Direct the development, implementation, and evaluation of patient care activities, services, and programs.
- Oversee selection, direction, training, compensation, performance appraisal, promotion, and discipline of staff.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of all policy and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with Finance and Revenue Cycle colleagues on annual capital and operating budgets, maintaining budget compliance.
- Manage resource allocation; develop controls for drugs, equipment, and services; and facilitate administrative and financial reports.
- Assure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements, affirmative action, and safety programs.
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree (or equivalent)
- Licensure in good standing, or immediate eligibility for Licensure, as a Registered Pharmacist with an active controlled substance license in the State of Michigan
- 5-10 years experience in Pharmacy Management directly involved in Financial, Human Resource, Operational, and Clinical oversight of a licensed pharmacy
- Experience in leading specialty and/or community pharmacies
- Knowledge and experience with finance and budgeting principles
Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree (or equivalent)
- 5-10 years experience in Pharmacy Management directly involved in Financial, Human Resource, Operational, and Clinical oversight of a licensed pharmacy
