Personal Care Specialist

About This Role

Engage with patients and customers in a retail environment, providing education on cannabis products and methods of consumption. This role is crucial for connecting customers with suitable products and ensuring a positive retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage with and assist patients and/or customers in a customer-facing, intimate retail environment
• Educate patients and/or customers on products, methods of consumption, and safety
• Utilize product and consumption-method knowledge to recommend a safe and effective regimen
• Promote a positive, communicative, patient and/or customer-oriented work environment
• Assist in verifying order deliveries for accuracy
• Provide necessary support to the management team for smooth retail store operations and compliance
• Ensure local and state cannabis regulations are properly enforced and upheld
• Ensure sales floor is properly stocked and store presence is well maintained and compliant
• Maintain hard copy files as required
• Follow security measures and safety compliance procedures
• Perform duties at assigned workstations including Front of House (Check In, Sales Floor, POS, Curbside, Roll Thru), Back of House (Fulfillment, Receiving, Replenishment, Inventory Counts), and Maintenance
• Uphold cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards throughout the dispensary

Requirements

• At least one year of customer service experience
• Ability to meet scheduling and availability requirements (mornings, days, nights, weekends)
• Reliable, responsible, and dependable attendance
• Must be 21 years or older
• Must pass all required background checks including state-specific cannabis employment requirements
• Possess valid driver's license or state ID
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry

Qualifications

• At least one year of customer service experience; preference for candidates with specialty, customer-facing retail experience

Nice to Have

• Specialty, customer-facing retail experience
• Previous knowledge of cannabis, cannabinoids, and the endocannabinoid system
• Previous experience with POS systems
• Understanding of applicable cannabis laws and regulations, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, and standard operating procedures
