Lead a team of lawyers and legal professionals to provide essential legal support and guidance for Liberty Mutual Group's U.S. Retail Markets (USRM) personal auto operations, focusing on product design, pricing, underwriting, forms, telematics, and state management. Drive strategic priorities for the Personal Auto leadership.
Responsibilities
- Manage goals, capacity, performance, and development for team members/direct reports
- Maintain visibility, communicate broadly, and actively collaborate across teams
- Provide strategic oversight of key initiatives within USRM’s Personal Auto insurance product team
- Represent and advise the Company in substantial legal and business matters requiring insurance regulatory expertise
- Perform comprehensive legal research and analysis in assigned specialty areas and direct research conducted by others
- Drive operational excellence within the Legal team by improving knowledge sharing and retention, documentation, and appropriate use of tools and technology
Requirements
- Admission to the bar of at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Experience advising on personal-lines product, product design, underwriting, and pricing matters
- Expert knowledge of insurance regulatory law
- Excellent analytical, legal writing, and communication skills
- Familiarity with corporate operations
- Management experience
Qualifications
- J.D. or L.L.B. degree
- Generally requires at least fifteen to twenty years' experience as a practicing attorney
