Perishables Representative

About This Role

As a Perishable Representative, you will be responsible for maintaining a well-stocked and clean department, preparing and merchandising fresh products daily, and providing superior customer service to customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service
• Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product
• Take orders from customers by telephone or in person
• Answer customer questions regarding products and assist with selections
• Slice, package, label, and rotate products
• Scan items on Telxon for production
• Clean and sanitize display cases and operate equipment
• Comply with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards
• Merchandise product effectively and use suggestive selling techniques
• Make regular announcements related to freshly-produced items

Requirements

• Minimum age 18
• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Completion of Company Orientation and Safety Training
• Computer systems knowledge (Telxon, ACR, label machine)
• Strong customer service skills
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Reading and writing skills
• Planning and organizing skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
