Pediatric Rehabilitation Aide

About This Role

This role primarily involves assisting licensed therapists and therapy assistants with patient care by preparing patients for treatment and performing routine functional activities. The aide is responsible for maintaining equipment and work areas, as well as handling some administrative tasks like scheduling appointments and managing inventory. The position contributes to providing exceptional patient care within a not-for-profit healthcare system.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for treatment by therapist
• Assist therapists during therapy sessions
• Attend and actively participate in team meetings
• Transfer and transport patients in a safe and timely manner
• Maintain equipment and working area in clean, orderly condition
• Occasionally cover front desk, scheduling appointments, checking in patients, and answering phones
• Conduct monthly inventory
• Make clinic materials as needed
• Report directly to the Clinical Supervisor

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
• Good bedside manner
• Good physical strength and stamina for lifting and moving immobile patients

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• 0-1 year of experience working as a Rehab Aid preferred

Nice to Have

• 0-1 year experience as a Rehab Aid
