Payer Portal Management Operations Associate

About This Role

This role streamlines revenue cycle management by configuring payer portals and optimizing login credential management, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and overall outcomes for athenahealth and its customers.

Responsibilities

• Document, design, and optimize processes related to payer portal credential management
• Set up and configure payer portals to ensure seamless access for revenue cycle management activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve payer portal access issues efficiently and effectively
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address and escalate portal access challenges
• Support project management initiatives aimed at improving customer experience and outcomes
• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies in payer portal management

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management
• Experience solving complex healthcare revenue cycle issues
• Ability to document and design processes and workflows
• Mastery of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and process adherence
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues
• Proficient in leveraging AthenaGPT and Microsoft Copilot to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and improve decision-making
• Knowledgeable and experienced in Atlassian products (Confluence and Jira)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management
