This role is responsible for providing exceptional patient service within a radiology center, managing front desk operations, medical records, and offering support to technologists.
Responsibilities
- Serve as initial point of contact for patients and visitors, providing positive patient service experiences
- Timely registration of patient arrival by validating accurate demographic information and collecting payments
- Inform patients about delays and wait times, following up to resolve inquiries or complaints
- Obtain and validate photo identifications and insurance cards, scanning documents into patient charts
- Provide and explain Consent, Financial, and HIPAA compliance related documents to patients
- Utilize EHR software, hardware, and programs proficiently
- Scrutinize prescriptions and referrals for accuracy of exams
- Coordinate with interdepartmental professionals for appointment scheduling and admission
- Ensure quality assurance of health records by verifying completeness, accuracy, and proper entry
- Retrieve and release health information data/medical records in compliance with HIPAA
Requirements
- Ability to handle patient-facing service
