Patient Placement Coordinator

About This Role

Coordinate patient transfers and bed assignments across all services within the organization, collaborating with physicians to ensure appropriate admissions and transfers for the Medical Center, Emergency Department, and Behavioral Health.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient transfers and bed assignment to include all services within the capabilities of the organization
• Collaborate with accepting physician regarding provision of care for patient admission
• Comply with guidelines, institutional policies and procedures, and other information to determine appropriate transfers and admissions into Medical Center, Emergency Department, and St. Bernards Behavioral Health

Qualifications

• One year of related healthcare experience preferred

• Medical terminology knowledge or relevant experience
