The Patient Care Technician is a crucial member of the collaborative nursing care team at St. David's HealthCare, providing hands-on care and creating a safe, welcoming environment for patients. This role is essential in supporting patient comfort, dignity, and connection, helping to fulfill the mission of improving lives daily.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth procedures and recovery
• Provide non-medicated care like dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keep patient areas, operating rooms, and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Manage supplies, equipment, and environmental logs to keep the team ready and protect patients through infection control
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team while promoting safety and quality efforts

Requirements

• Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
