Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, perform routine activities including phlebotomy and point-of-care testing, and assist patients with daily living activities while observing and reporting changes in their condition.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse
- Perform routine direct patient care activities following established policies and procedures
- Observe patients and report changes in patient condition to the registered nurse
- Perform specific skills including phlebotomy and point of care testing (POCT)
- Assist in all aspects of daily living activities for the patients, including general hygiene, changings, light housekeeping, and patient vitals
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- BLS Certification
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior direct patient care experience preferred, but not required
