Patient Care Technician Per Diem

About This Role

This Patient Care Technician (PCT) role provides direct nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse. The PCT performs routine care activities, observes patients, and reports changes in condition, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse
• Perform routine direct patient care activities following established policies and procedures
• Perform observations of patients and report changes in patient condition to the registered nurse
• Perform specific skills including phlebotomy
• Perform point of care testing (POCT)

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Relevant experience
• Basic Life Support certification

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent OR - GED - Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education
• Relevant experience is required
