Patient Care Technician (PCT)

About This Role

This Patient Care Technician (PCT) position performs various patient care activities and accommodative services under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse, consistent with PAM Health policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform various patient care activities
• Perform accommodative services
• Works under general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse
• Works within the limits of the position
• Does not administer medications or therapy
• Does not assume independent responsibility for patient care
• Job duties are accomplished consistent with PAM Health policies, procedures and guidelines

Requirements

• Current BLS certification

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred

Nice to Have

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit
