Patient Care Technician / PCT Med Surg

About This Role

Join our team as a night shift, PRN, Medical-Surgical Patient Care Technician in Pryor, OK. This role involves assisting patients with daily activities, observing their progress, and performing vital sign collection.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs
• Observe patients' progress and disseminate reports to Registered Nurse or other medical staff
• Obtain and record patients' vital signs
• Collect specimens for lab tests
• Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties
• Measure and record patients' intake and output and other measurements
• Assist patients with range of motion
• Draw blood

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• BLS certification (within 14 days of hire)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Entry level with no prior experience explicitly required, but 1 year Med Surg experience preferred

Nice to Have

• 1 year Med Surg experience
• Completion of approved CNA, PCT or paramedic certification
• Currently enrolled in nursing school
• Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy
