Provide direct dialysis care to patients in a hospital setting, monitoring vital signs, operating dialysis machines, and offering emotional support. This role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one dialysis care to patients with kidney disease
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Set up dialysis machines and observe treatment
- Support patients physically and emotionally throughout their care
- Educate patients on dialysis-related topics
- Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members
Requirements
- Reliable transportation to work between hospitals in Avon & Lafayette, IN
- Comfort working with blood, needles, and medical equipment
- Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina for long shifts (up to 12+ hours)
- Flexibility to float between facilities as needed
Qualifications
- Accredited High School diploma, general education development (“GED”) credential, or equivalent
- No dialysis experience required, previous healthcare experience a plus
Nice to Have
- Previous healthcare experience (CNA, MA, Phlebotomy, CHT, BONENT certified)
