This Patient Care Technician role involves providing direct, hands-on dialysis care to patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient setting, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care
- Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
- Set up and maintain dialysis equipment
- Record vital signs and patient data
- Educate patients on treatment and kidney health
- Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members
Requirements
- Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment
- Physically able to work long shifts on your feet
- Willing to float between local clinics if needed
- Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications
- Accredited High School diploma, general education development (“GED”) credential, or equivalent
Nice to Have
- CNA certification
- MA certification
- CHT certification
- Phlebotomy certification
- Healthcare experience
