Patient Care Technician

About This Role

Support patients undergoing Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) in an outpatient setting, providing hands-on care, education, and coordination under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assist with training patients and caregivers on PD procedures
• Support clinical team with patient monitoring, documentation, and equipment preparation
• Conduct home supply inventory and assist with arranging deliveries
• Monitor vital signs and collect lab specimens as needed
• Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols
• Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, and social workers

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and insurance
• Comfortable working with medical supplies, blood, and needles
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends/holidays
• Physical stamina for long shifts and on-your-feet work

Qualifications

• Accredited High School diploma, general education development (“GED”) credential, or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Healthcare experience (CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy) preferred
