Patient Care Technician

About This Role

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides direct, hands-on care to patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic, working under RN supervision to deliver life-sustaining dialysis treatment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment.
• Set up and maintain dialysis equipment.
• Record vital signs and patient data.
• Educate patients on treatment and kidney health.
• Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members.

Requirements

• Accredited High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment
• Physically able to work long shifts on your feet
• Willing to float between local clinics if needed
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• Accredited High School diploma, general education development (“GED”) credential, or equivalent.

Nice to Have

• CNA certification
• MA certification
• CHT certification
• Phlebotomy certification
• Healthcare experience
